The primary focus of the Specialist role is to work with the Category Manager, and the cross functional team to evaluate RFP proposals, facilitate bid defence/technical inquiries, develop negotiation strategy, and lead negotiations with suppliers. Ultimately he/she is responsible for the execution of the sourcing strategies to deliver the objective of providing the business with a supply base that supports safe, reliable and efficient operations at the lowest cost.
Experience & Expertise
a. Educational background
University degree in a technical or related equivalent business discipline.
MCIPS/ISM qualification, or at stage of pre-qualification, desirable.
Category strategy development and execution
Sourcing, contracting and contract management
Ariba e-sourcing or other e-procurement tools is desirable.
P2P processes, and SAP system
Demonstrable experience in the Maintenance Service category in manufacturing environment is preferable
Leading and managing projects across function teams
Minimum 5 years relevant tracked records in intensive negotiation and strategic sourcing project management
Season practitioner of commercial negotiation.
Demonstrated capability of influencing and stakeholder management.
Strength in organisational and project management.
Basic application in Financial and market analysis.
Proven communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated capability of drawing insight from massive volume of data
