Salon Manager – Beauty – Balm – Lewes

We are seeking an exceptional salon manager for our beautiful salon in Lewes, East Sussex. An experienced beauty therapist, duties you will be expected to perform include:

  • Assist in hiring, interviewing and trade testing staff
  • Submit payroll information for all employees
  • Plan and maintain the staff rota
  • Manage staff holiday and absences
  • Handle any client disputes or complaints
  • Manage and motivate the team
  • Training staff and ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Stock control
  • Promoting marketing campaigns both to staff and customers
  • Cover sick leaves and absences where necessary
  • Benchmarking excellent customer service and ensuing the salon attains those levels
  • Ensure client records are maintained
  • Handle end of day cashing up and reconciling salon software and payment software
  • Help plan events
  • Ensure regular safety equipment checks are carried out and any maintenance required is flagged
  • Oversee revenue targets
  • Ensure health, safety and COSHH regulations are complied with and rules are observed by staff and clients
  • Support reception
  • Working with the salon owner on business development strategies

Good people skills – as a manager you must be able to understand and assist staff if they need help

Ability to remain fair and professional at all times

Ability to deal with difficult salon situations such as client complaints and staff disagreements in a diplomatic fashion.

An up to date and through knowledge of current health and safety in the workplace regulations

Ability to carry out risk assessments
