Cardif Pinnacle, in Borehamwood is recruiting a full-time, experienced Project Manager within our Projects Department, reporting to the Head of Business Change.

The company is focused upon the provision of creditor, pet and motor warranty insurance. The strategy of the business is to ensure that customers are well serviced whilst focusing on the operational capabilities and efficiency.

Position Scope

The management of Cardif Pinnacle change projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the management of scoping, defining, developing and implementation of changes to business processes and activities to meet identified business needs. This will involve acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills within agreed parameters of functionality, cost, timescales and quality.

Projects are expected to be managed according to agreed project methodologies although there may be some deviation to meet business requirements as agreed with senior management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the definition, documentation and successful completion of projects ensuring that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained as well as reporting issues directly to the Project Sponsor
  • Prepares realistic project and quality plans and tracks activities against the plans, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Monitor costs, timescales and resources used, and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances
  • Coordinate resource (internally or externally) allocated to a given project in order to ensure that activities are delivered within appropriate timescales, resolving and/or escalating resource conflicts as appropriate
  • Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets
  • Manage projects in line with Group Project methodology
  • To carry out any other task associated with the role as reasonably requested

Required Skills and Work Experience


  • Project management experience including leading projects of varying degrees of complexity, size and duration
  • The adoption of a strategic, business focused approach at all times
  • Good organisational skills
  • The ability to communicate, influence and challenge at board level
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office (including MS Project)
  • Demonstrable conflict management and problem solving skills
  • Report writing skills to convey ideas and conclusions in an easily accessible form to clients, third party providers and senior sponsors


  • Agile delivery experience
  • Insurance experience
  • Experience of working on projects of a regulatory
