Melissa Walsh says Troy Delmege wasn’t “hitting” on her during Monday night’s episode of Married At First Sight.
However, despite Delmege, 35, calling Walsh “beautiful” and telling her they would have “made a great couple” had they been matched, Walsh insists it was all just friendly banter.

“I find it funny that people think Troy was being flirty,” the 53-year-old tells TheFIX. “I don’t think he was hitting on me. I think that is just the way he communicates with everybody. He has this way about him with everybody which is more overly familiar than most with his mannerisms and compliments.”
In fact, Walsh found her “brilliant” date to be an excellent source of advice when it came to her relationship with John Robertson.

“He said that I could get on with anyone and that, while John is great, I need to look more closely at what we have in common,” she reveals. “It really did make me start thinking seriously about whether we had enough for it to be a long-term thing.”
And in return, Walsh had advice for Delmege about his marriage to Ashley Irvin.
“I said that perhaps he should back off a bit and stop being so full on with her,” she admits. “I felt that he was struggling with feeling rejected and there was not much he could do right in her eyes. I get where Ash was coming from in that way as he is very full on.
“So, I figured if he backed off a bit, she might be more interested. Let her come to him, rather than he always making the moves.”
