Did Prince William just reveal the Royal Baby's gender?

While interacting with player Jack Grealish who scored the winning goal, William said, โ€œIโ€™m going to insist the baby is called Jackโ€.

Though Prince William and Kate Middleton have done a pretty good job so far of keeping details about their third child under wraps, apparently it only takes one particularly exciting soccer match to cause a slip of the tongue. Expected date is due in April. But it was too little, too late: The royal rumor mill has already gone into overdrive on the assumption that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be joined by another little prince sometime in the next few weeks.

Previously the bookies favourite name for a boy, was Philip, which is a new entry in the royal baby naming charts.

Earlier this week royal baby watch officially kicked off as press barriers were assembled outside the Lindo Wing of St Maryโ€™s Hospital in London hinting at the imminent arrival of the third Cambridge child.

Kensington Palace will issue a statement regarding the babyโ€™s sex, weight and time of birth once she gives birth to her third child.

Kensington Palace has yet to respond to the reports. Fans have been left to speculate on what the possible name might be.

The gender of the new baby has not yet been announced.

William Hill, on the other hand, shared that the odds are at 3/1 Mary; 6/1 Alice; 8/1 Victoria; 12/1 Elizabeth; 14/1 Albert; 14/1 Arthur; 14/1 Frederick; 16/1 Alexandra; 16/1 Grace; 16/1 James; 16/1 Phillip; 20/1 Alexander; 20/1 Catherine; 20/1 Diana; 20/1 Henry; 25/1 Edward; 33/1 Charles; 33/1 Frances; 40/1 Louis; 40/1 Margaret; 40/1 David; 50/1 Richard; and 500/1 Donald.

Whether the Royal family will indeed welcome a baby boy will only be known after the baby is born.
