Attendance up for Revolution Place shows

Revolution Place is on track for its busiest year since 2008.

The venue has had more than 30,000 visitors who have attended ticketed events in the first quarter of 2018, according to a Revolution Place press release.

“Revolution Place is off to a great start in 2018,” said General Manager Scott Clark.

“We’re looking like we’re going to have our busiest year for concerts in over a decade. The concert industry is showing great faith in Grande Prairie and are being rewarded by our great fans who are buying tickets at a record pace. The diversity of events, the re-positioning of the Bowes Event Centre, and the playoff success of the Grande Prairie Storm have all contributed to the venue’s success in 2018.”

According to the venue, more than 40% of its visitors guests have travelled from outside the city, “substantially contributing to the economic impact on local businesses, especially in the downtown core.” A majority of its visitors – 58% – come from Grande Prairie.
