My Kitchen Rules: Manu and Pete address the reality show scandal

MY Kitchen Rules judges Manu Feildel and Pete Evans have broken their silence about the reality show “scandal”.

In a promo released by Channel Seven today, the two chefs confirm that one team will be booted from the cooking competition in an episode next week for “unprecedented attacks” against their fellow competitors.

“We would like to take a moment to talk about the events that led to one team being removed from My Kitchen Rules,” Manu says in the promo clip.

“After continued warnings and an unprecedented attack on all the teams, we had to act.”

The promo then shows snippets of a fiery dinner table clash, mostly between NSW besties, Sonya and Hadil, and NSW sisters, Jess and Emma.

“Don’t let me come for you,” Hadil is shown threatening another contestant in one scene.

“You’ve got serious issues,” Jess is shown yelling in response.

Manu is seen calling for calm and respect in the clip before telling one team: “Things have got too out of hand.

“This behaviour is unacceptable,” the French chef says. “You’re excused from the table.”

It’s not known exactly which team is booted from the competition, but the odds are that it’s Sonya and Hadil who’ll be sent packing for their offensive behaviour.

Jess recently spoke to TV Week about some of the verbal attacks she received from Sonya and Hadil during the competition, including about her appearance.

“They started getting personal and went really low and nasty, so I don’t give a s**t,” Jess told TV Week.

My Kitchen Rules’ week of scandal kicks off this Sunday night at 7pm on Channel Seven and will continue on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night.
