Meghan Markle and Prince Harry intend to share their May 19 wedding with as much of the public as possible. Kensington Palace confirmed earlier this month that the more than 2,000 guests will include 200 people from Prince Harry’s charities, 610 Windsor Castle community members, and 530 members of the Royal Households and Crown Estate.
And yet for all the public knows
While one would think a father attending his daughter’s wedding to a British prince would not be up in the air, Markle Sr.’s attendance wasn’t exactly a foregone conclusion. According to the report, he is known to live a secluded life in Mexico. And Meghan did not invite her half-sister, Samantha Grant, nor her half-brother.
“Thomas Sr. is overjoyed to be beside his little girl on the day she becomes a princess—even if he has to battle his demons to get there,” a source told the publication.
Earlier this year, word got out that Meghan’s mother would walk her down the aisle, a modern tradition that is still somewhat renegade for a royal wedding. The Sun said that Meghan will also be on her father’s arm the day of the wedding.
The Sun’s source said that “nothing will stop” Markle Sr. from being there for his daughter as she becomes royal.
