Ray is also said to be living in a modest two-bedroom council property in an estate in the city with his partner Sheila Taylor.
Reports claim he has barely spoken to Ant since he left him, his mother and his two sisters Emma and Sarha, while Ant was still at school.
Meanwhile Ant’s mother Christine has been by his side throughout his battles.

“I don’t think Ant has ever forgiven his dad for leaving him all those years ago and they are not close.”
The insider continued telling MailOnline: “Ray did try to reach out to Ant before his wedding, but I don’t think Ant was interested in repairing the relationship with him. Too much has gone on.
“Ant and his father lead very different lives. Ant’s down in London and has done very well for himself and Ray is up here. He works hard, but he doesn’t earn very much money.”
Ray reportedly refused to speak out about Ant’s troubles and their relationship when approached this week.
