Declan Donnelly has confirmed that he and his wife, Ali Astall, are expecting their first child together.
Taking to the official Ant and Dec Twitter profile this evening, the dad-to-be shared the exciting
Addressing the duo’s shared 6.82 million followers, he wrote: “Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages.
“The news has sneaked out a little earlier than we had hoped but Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child. Thanks for all the love, we really appreciate it D x.”
Having known each other for over a decade, Dec, 42, and Ali, 40, wed in a lavish ceremony in 2015.
Ali is believed to have got pregnant shortly after Dec left Australia in December 2017, where he was presenting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Upon hearing the baby news, fans flooded Dec’s post with messages of congratulations, with many making reference to Dec’s long-time best friend and co-presenter Ant McPartlin, 42.
One supporter wrote: “Congratulations to you both, some welcome good news. Good luck for remaining shows Dec and let’s give Ant all the help and support he needs.”

Another said: “I’m sure it’s bittersweet but Ant will be an incredible uncle! This baby will be spoiled,” followed two red heart emojis.
The reports come at a tumultuous time for Dec, who is set to present Saturday Night Takeaway solo next week, with Ant currently seeking treatment at a rehab facility.
Ant McPartlin, 42, was charged with drink-driving on Wednesday, after he failed a roadside breathalyser test following a car crash on Sunday, March 18.
The three-car collision resulted in a 4-year-old girl going to hospital for a check-up.
Announcing that he will be presenting solo, after having Ant by his side for 30+ years, Dec told fans: “Whilst I never thought I’d be in this position, after much discussion and careful consideration…
“We’ve decided that the remaining two shows of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead.
“We made a promise to take hundreds of deserving winners to Florida to watch the series finale, and we will honour that.
“Everyone at ITV and the Takeaway team feels we owe it to the audience to complete the series.”
