Benidorm stars Adam Gillen and Laila Zaidi are a real-life couple.
The actors, who play Liam and Cyd on the ITV comedy, started secretly dating away from the cameras after meeting on set.
Laila joined the cast last
The couple even enjoyed their own sunshine getaway to Mauritius – before Laila has made her on-screen debut.
Bikini-clad Laura shared a loved-up selfie of herself hugging the Fresh Meat star on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Adam has also been showing off his stunning new love on social media.
Laila has joined the Benidorm cast playing Rob Dawson’s girlfriend and soon-to-be fiancee, called Cyd.
She previously appeared in Doctors, but this is her first major role.
Adam made his debut on Benidorm in 2011, playing the hapless Liam Conroy, son of the transvestite barman Les/Lesley played by Tim Healey.
Meanwhile, Fans of the much loved (and award winning) comedy series have been up in arms over
The ITV comedy series is currently airing it’s 10th season after launching on television way back in 2007.
The show stars a range of well known British stars including Joan Collins and Sheridan Smith playing characters enjoying the sunshine in a Spanish holiday resort.
As reports rumbled that the show was set to be axed as ratings dropped to 4 million (down from highs of over 8 million), fans took to Twitter to express concern their favourite comedy could soon be no more.
However, show creator Derren Litten has taken to twitter to calm fears that the show will be axed – laughing off the reports as total rubbish.
“And apparently The Sun are running a story tomorrow on how #Benidorm has been cancelled,” he warned before the paper issued a report saying ITV had quietly shut down the show on Friday.
“Don’t make me f**king laugh,” he continued, alongside a string of crying-with-laughter emojis.
He then suggested rumours of cancellation are nothing new, adding: “I enjoyed that story after series 6. And 7 and 8 and 9…” suggesting the show could still have a long way to go.
An ITV spokesperson also hinted that there could yet be more episodes of the hit show by refusing to confirm reports of a cancellation, stating: “No decision has been made about a further series.”
