R Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil thriller Vikram Vedha to be remade in Hindi by Neeraj Pandey
R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi’s 2017 Tamil blockbuster Vikram Vedhaย is being remade in Hindi by Aiyaary director Neeraj Pandey. Pandey is teaming up with the original producer S Sashikanth and Reliance
Pandey is going to serve as the writer while the original director duo of Pushkar and Gayatri have been roped in to helm the Hindi version too. This will be Sashikanth’s third production to be remade for the Hindi-speaking audience. His Irudhi Suttru and Kalyana Samayal Saadham were made into Saala Khadoos and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan respectively.

The filmmaker also told the publication that they do not plan to touch the original story too much but just colour it with the tastes of the audience it is being made for. The lead actors will be announced when the final draft of the script is ready.
Vikram Vedha follows the story of an unbending cop, Vikram (played by Madhavan) who goes head to head with Vedha, a dangerous gangster who has wreaked havoc in Chennai. After all his accomplices and henchmen are killed in action, the gangster resorts to mind games. The film topped the list ofย IMDb’sย 10 best Indian films of 2017.
