Mike Jones of the USA Today is reporting former Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore is “close” to an agreement with the Detriot Lions. (Mike Jones on Twitter)
Gore, who will turn 35 in May, is expected to sign with the Lions. He’ll look to improve one of the worst rushing attacks in the NFL in recent memory led by Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick. In the wake of Gore’s addition, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Lions moved on from Abdullah, perhaps via trade around the upcoming NFL Draft. Gore finished 2017 with 961 yards rushing and three TDs and should expect the Lions to bring in competition for the RB1 spot.
