Cheryl’s had a busy month. Not only baby Bear’s first birthday coming up, she’s also been getting everyone hyped for her new album and batting off rumours that she’s on the brink of a split from Liam Payne.
So while we’ve all been wondering what sort of stuff Chezza will be singing about (Fight For This Love 2.0?), it seems Naughty Boy has let the cat out of the bag.
Talking to The Sun, the producer said: “Cheryl has got back in the studio just after having a baby and it’s still very personal, but she is a real artist and a perfectionist.
“She does up to 12 hours a day and I just feel that shows how ready she is.”
We all know she’s a modern day Wonder Woman, juggling charity
He continued: “I feel sorry for her – all she wants to do is make her music.
“I say to her, the music should do the talking. Let the song come out.”
Naughty Boy then went on to describe Cheryl’s new sound as having ‘more edge’ than her previous albums, and revealed it was influenced by Bear.
Cheryl and Naughty Boy were hanging out last week at the Prince’s Trust Awards, and the former Girls Aloud singer raised a few eyebrows by posting a selfie of the pair together.
Fans were quick to claim she was ‘betraying’ Liam, considering that Naughty Boy famously fell out with the One Direction boys when Zayn Malik announced he was leaving the band.
And when a fan threw a piñata of Naughty Boy on stage at a 1D gig, Liam and Louis destroyed it.
At another gig, Liam pointed out a fan sign that said: “Niall has more tattoos than Naughty Boy has fans,” and joked: “That is a good sign and I like that! Everybody give it up for that sign!
“That made my night. Whatever happens, Vancouver, that is the best sign ever.”
Might make for some awkward dinner chat now that his baby mumma is making her next album with him.
