EL1 Assistant Director (Economics)

The Assistant Director (Economics) leads and undertakes economic and social research into key water management issues in the Basin. You will use technical expertise and highly-developed leadership and problem solving skills to motivate and promote team performance which produces research insights that improve our understanding of policy issues and Basin Plan costs and benefits.
The position holder works closely with internal and external experts who understand social, environmental and economic conditions in the Basin, as well as with holders of key information and data sets (suckh as ABS, ABARES, environmental water holders, and industry associations) and other agencies of the Australian Government, the Basin States and Territories and wider stakeholders.
