Education Co-ordinator – Hull University Union – Kingston upon Hull

HUU GRADE 5 – £19,446 per annum

37 hours per week

HUU is a unique environment – we are a charity with a great team made up of permanent staff supporting our student staff and volunteers to provide our members (the students of the University of Hull) with opportunities to create change, gain new skills and experiences, access help and support when needed, make friends, earn a crust, explore a new city and most importantly – have a great time!

HUU is run by students who have been elected by their fellow students. These Student Officers listen to the problems students face individually or as groups and campaign for improvements – their aim is to ensure students studying at the University of Hull gain valuable life skills as well as the best education possible.

Are you passionate about improving the learning experience for students? Are you confident you could work with staff and volunteers to promote, administer, develop and evaluate HUU’s education-focused activities? Are you committed to using data to inform policy and practice? Could you establish and maintain relationships with University colleagues in order to ensure the smooth running of HUU’s academic representation system?

As our Education Co-ordinator, you would be responsible for the above in addition to co-ordinating the overall provision and development of HUU’s education-focused activities. You would be responsible for maintaining an awareness of educational issues within students’ unions, ensuring confidentiality and working in line with HUU policies and procedures. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with the ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure. Excellent written and interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail are essential for this post.
