The Shire of Perenjori has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Local Government professional to join their team. After six years of excellent service the Chief Executive Officer has departed the Shire and Council is seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer.

The successful applicant will have previous experience in a Local Government management role, be resilient, have a very strong understanding and appreciation of Local Government governance, compliance and reporting obligations, have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the drive to deliver Council’s objectives for the Shire. Equally important will be your ability to think strategically, foster beneficial relationships and build a positive culture in the organisation.
This position is offered on a performance based contract of between three to five years with a remuneration package in the range of $126,956 – $198,210 per annum in accordance with SAT Band 4. The package includes a base salary, to be negotiated with the successful applicant, a well appointed executive home, motor vehicle with private use, superannuation, professional development and phone, corporate clothing and utilities allowances.
