The position of Assistant Curator is part of the team responsible for the ongoing development of the Artbank collection and the meeting of Artbank’s core objectives. With responsibilities spanning collection management, curation, programming and publications, the successful candidate with ensure a high attention to detail, the application of industry best practices and a rigorous, yet inclusive approach to working with the Artbank Collection.
The successful applicant will be required to have a good knowledge of contemporary Australian art and the art market and have the ability to present that knowledge through high level communication skills. You will understand the protocols as they relate to the acquisition and deaccession of art and objects in an institutional context and be responsible for ensuring the development, preservation and presentation of the Artbank collection in support of the organisation’s objectives.
